Popular winter activities such as husky safaris, reindeer and snowshoeing can all be included on your daytime programme. You can learn to ski across the snowy landscapes and make coffee by melting snow.
In the autumn, we do outdoor adventures which don’t require snow. Lapland is a great destination all year around. Sauna, swimming, kayaking, bicycles – you name it!
Norwegian fjords and the Arctic city, Tromso, offer a completely different atmosphere to Finland. And before we go to the city, we will travel on the fjords. Hikes, walks, snow shoeing, national parks, wilderness, cruises, culture… the list of activities on these majestic landscapes is long.
Combining the well-known and the hidden gems of the region, trying local food and meeting local people is what you can expect on our tours. We mostly work with small local companies, where you will have a chance to meet the entrepreneurs and learn about their life in the north.
Here are some places to include in your holiday
We include three nights of northern lights search in the tour, your guide will choose the nights when the possibilities of seeing them are the greatest.
Arrive by overnight train from Helsinki, spend a day at the Arctic Circle visiting Santa.
Add a day trip to Kemi to take part on the Icebreaker Sampo cruise or a day trip to Ranua Zoo. Huskies and snowmobile safaris are a great way to start the holiday in Lapland. Spend a night in an igloo or in your very own snowroom.
Ylläs & Levi:
Stay in your own cabin with sauna – or in a snow hotel or glass igloo. Try skiing and snowshoeing, mush a team of huskies. For the adventurous, why not try winter-biking? Be surrounded by snow-frosted forest and visit Finland’s oldest National Park. If you’re feeling a bit chilly, how about a day in a spa to relax and warm up!
Be amazed of the changing landscapes as your guide drives you to Kilpisjärvi. The village is surrounded by Norwegian and Swedish mountains and open Finnish fell landscape. Finland’s highest peaks are at this region and the most recognized peak, Saana, watches over the village. One of the best places in the world to see the Auroras (to know why, send us a message!) Skiing, snowshoeing, a unique opportunity to spend a day with a reindeer herder and sleep in a northern lights kota.

The largest fjord in Northern Norway offers great possibilities for photography, local culture and nature. Snowshoeing and northern lights are great here and in the northernmost parts, there are some great cross country ski tours and the world’s northernmost distillery.
The Arctic city is a picturesque city on a hilly island, surrounded by mountains across the fjords. Photo opportunities here are endless, but there are also lots of interesting museums from local history to Polar expeditions. Not forgetting shopping, of course. Tromso is a culinary heaven, especially for seafood lovers. Fjord tours, wildlife boat safaris, dinner cruise under the northern lights..
