Mindfulness meditation day retreat in the arctic wilderness

There is so much silence around us in the arctic, that it is worth it to take a moment to listen to it. The mindfulness meditation day retreat will give you the possibility to hear the many sounds of silence. Eyes closed, you can experience the arctic in ways you had not even thought about.

Taking a day break from your busy schedules, even during your holiday, can be a powerful experience. We walk slowly, sit still and observe our breathing, our connection to the nature around us, and our mind. Is my mind present in this moment, or is it wandering back to work, back to everyday life, or already planning tomorrows adventures? The instructor will lead us on gentle meditations on the course of the day, and in between, there is plenty of time to take in the arctic nature’s silence and wonders.

The mindfulness meditation day retreat has two departures; daytime retreat at 10:00 and midnight sun retreat at 20:00.

This mindfulness meditation retreat starts by a short drive outside the village. Your instructor chooses locations where there rarely are other people. We will walk slowly and in silence while meditating and take regular stops to sit and meditate on different topics. Walks are on easy terrain and suitable for most people. The retreat is suitable for anyone interested in mindfulness and meditation. You don’t need previous experience. The age limit is 16 years, for mindfulness trips for children, ask us for a special programme.

We will enjoy a vegetarian picnic lunch practicing mindful eating.
