A perfect package for those looking for a Lapland winter outdoor activities holiday. This holiday is a supreme mix of outdoor activities, with all the spices. We believe in the joy of travelling on pure muscle power, so on this holiday you will mainly move on snow shoes and skies. Every morning we pack the bags with a lunch box, hot drinks and recharged cameras, and head out to the wild. Your guide will take you past the must see sights, but also to his own favourite locations out of the way of marked routes. You will not need any previous experience on winter outdoor activities, your guide will teach you the technique and modify the daily routes according to your skill level.
We stay the entire holiday in one village, but visit locations in Finland, Sweden and Norway. The activities take place in open arctic tundra and Norwegian fjords, and as a special bonus, we can search for wolverine and lynx prints in the snow, and relax in a sauna at night. If your holiday is in March or earlier, we can do northern lights hunt too. On the other hand, in April we might be able to admire some glacier meltwater waterfalls on the Norwegian fjords
The season for Lapland winter outdoor activities runs from February until early May in Kilpisjärvi, in April the weather is often pleasantly warm and sunny. The package can be made between 4-7 days and price varies on your choice of accommodation and meal plan. It is possible to add an overnight trip to the wilderness in a tent or a wilderness cabin if you wish. Group sizes 2-6 people.
Your guide, Gareth is an experienced wilderness and outdoors guide, but also a personal trainer, so relaxing evening stretches are always included in your package.
